Fort Mill Rotary Club Endowed Scholarship

The Fort Mill Rotary was Chartered June 17, 1991, and continues the tradition of the Rotary motto “Service Above Self” with the establishment of this scholarship to provide financial aid for a deserving student of Fort Mill, Fort Mill High School, or Nation Ford High School who is planning to pursue a technical degree or take college transfer courses at York Technical College. The scholarship is awarded on an annual basis to a student of Fort Mill High School or Nation’s Ford High School who has demonstrated leadership qualities and academic excellence. Applicants must be recommended by the high school principle or senior counselor. The student must maintain full-time enrollment (12 credit hours per semester) during the scholarship year.

Criteria:

  • Applicants must have expressed financial need; minimum met standards for academic progress; preference given to GED, Interact, and First Generation College students (in that order); must be a GED certificate holder residing in Fort Mill or a Fort Mill or Nation Ford High School graduate.
  • Applicants must be recommended by the high school principle or senior counselor.
  • The student must maintain full-time enrollment (12 credit hours per semester) during the scholarship year.
