Alfred and Myrtle Huddleston Memorial Scholarship
The Myrtle B. and Alfred R. Huddleston Memorial Scholarship fund was established is to assist selected individuals who are pursuing a degree at York Technical College in an Allied Health field. This scholarship was established in memory of Mr. and Mrs. Huddleston. In 1995, their estate made a significant donation to the York Technical College Foundation to provide scholarships for students in health related programs, particularly nursing. This scholarship established for deserving and hard working York Technical College students as a means to make sure that a student’s financial resources would not be a barrier to completing their program of study.
This scholarship is provided to prospective students in a health related field at York Technical College who have a financial need not met through other sources.
- Applicants must be enrolled in a health related program.
- Applicants should have: a minimum GPA of 2.0; leadership qualities; and a degree of financial need.
- Students must maintain full-time enrollment at York Technical College during the financial year.
- A maximum of $1,000 per school year for tuition, books, and other program related costs.
