Rock Hill Kiwanis Club Endowed Scholarship
The Rock Hill Kiwanis Club Endowed Scholarship was established in 1998 by the Rock Hill Kiwanis Club Board of Directors. The purpose of this scholarship is to afford an opportunity for deserving students to obtain a college education at York Technical College.
Criteria:
- To be eligible, a candidate shall: be a full-time York Technical College student; meet or exceed a 3.0 grade point average or as a freshman, be in the top one-half of his/her graduating class and score no less than 1000 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test or equivalent.
- The candidate must plan to complete his/her degree at York Technical College or transfer to a four year institution and be able to demonstrate financial need, but not to the exclusion of other considerations.
- The candidate must be a student with permanent residence within the Rock Hill School District No. 3 area, show evidence of leadership or community service, integrity and good moral character.
- Preference will be given to eligible candidates who have been active in a Key Club or Circle K Club.
- Award
- The scholarship money is to be applied to tuition cost and shall not exceed $500 per year per student.
